Biography
Awaken The Hydra consists of singer and lyricist Epril Hydra and
composer and multi-instrumentalist Niels Doe.
As NIGEN, Niels Doe released both an experimental EP called Monachopsis and a full studio album called The Monolith Death Trap, on which Epril Hydra appeared as a guest artist. Their song Haunted Machine was their first collaboration, after which Epril assisted Niels in writing multiple songs for said album.
They pushed their collaboration even further when they founded the symphonic metal band Awaken the Hydra. Their first single, A Doomed Race, came out on August 5th 2019, and will be followed by a full studio album called The Passage, which is announced to be officially released on March 21st 2020.
